Overview

Senior Social Care Worker role at Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG. Location: Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. 39 hours per week - Permanent Contract. Job reference: SSCW_ORCH_1308.



Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs in a residential setting, in line with each person's PCP and care plan.
  • Lead, supervise and manage a care team; organise rosters and attend/lead meetings as required.
  • Support daily living activities, personal care and community engagement; help individuals understand their rights and make decisions.
  • Be flexible to work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends; may be required to complete sleep-in duties.


Qualifications and Requirements
  • Option A: A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level is essential, with at least 6 months' recent experience supporting people with complex needs.
  • Option B: A relevant third-level qualification at degree level (e.g., Social Work, Psychology) with at least 2 years' recent experience in social care.
  • Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker, or proof of application in progress with CORU.
  • Availability to work shifts on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends; sleep-in duties may be required.
  • Full, driver's licence essential.
  • Permission to work in Ireland essential.
