Job Description

Join our dynamic TPM Management Group, a team dedicated to ensuring rigorous oversight of Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) operations for key late pipeline and newly commercialized products. Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations to drive excellence and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

In this role, you will manage a team of Manufacturing Professionals assigned to Third Party Manufacture (TPM) contracts for small molecule products. You will ensure that high-quality products are manufactured in compliance with local and international regulations, and released and delivered according to the established forecasts, schedules, and costs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of AbbVie TPM Account Managers to negotiate Manufacturing Service Agreements and amendments, ensuring compliance with the terms and effective planning and material procurement strategies.
  • Ensure global logistics support all phases of the manufacturing agreement in accordance with Purchasing and Supplier quality expectations.
  • Maintain timely communication with TPM regarding product forecasts, manufacturing, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop and oversee the Financial Operating Plan, updates, LRP, and standard processes, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance using appropriate metrics and ensure work processes meet AbbVie's quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal functional partners to ensure TPM compliance with quality systems and documentation for regulatory requirements, including inspection responses and commitments.
  • Manage quality assurance activities, including audits and deviations, ensuring timely investigations and product disposition decisions.
  • Promote a culture of performance improvement, guiding Account Managers to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coach managers and staff, setting clear expectations and fostering exceptional performance and talent management.
  • Conduct routine management reviews and communicate TPM performance, issues, and improvements to stakeholders.
  • Represent Manufacturing in internal brand team discussions related to TPM manufacturing processes and staff management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field required; advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience, including technical expertise and project management skills.
  • Progressive leadership experience in operations, including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or engineering.
  • Strong business acumen and functional leadership skills to operate effectively in a complex environment.
