We are seeking a Senior Water Engineer to lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland. This role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through procurement, construction, and handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop preliminary designs, feasibility studies, and route/site selection reports.
  • Prepare technical drawings, reports, calculations, contract documents, and specifications.
  • Manage client liaison to ensure quality, timely project delivery.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including graduate and design engineers.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across environmental, structural, and planning teams.
  • Procure site investigations and civil engineering contracts, including pricing schedules and Bills of Quantities.
  • Conduct construction stage inspections and reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Administer construction contracts to achieve design, budget, and schedule targets.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure effective collaboration.
  • Support quality assurance procedures and stay up to date with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years in water/wastewater project design and delivery in Ireland.
  • Degree (Level 8 or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of water/wastewater systems and engineering standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and familiarity with FIDIC contracts.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
