S&P Global CREDit Graduate Program Analyst – Corporates- Dublin in Dublin, Ireland

About the Role:

CREDit Graduate Program Analyst – Corporates

Location: Dublin

When you join S&P Global Ratings, you join one of the world's leading providers of independent credit risk research and benchmarks. You are part of a team that produces high-quality fundamental research based on established criteria.

Our CREDit Graduate Program is a two-year training and development opportunity with our next intake joining us in September 2025. CREDit Program Analysts are hired for a specific practice; however, they are expected to transition between practices as dictated by business demands. In their first year, CREDit analysts focus on acquiring skills and knowledge from their home practice. In their second year, CREDit analysts gain exposure to other practices through a mix of classroom training and small projects or short-term secondments. All analysts combine practical work experience with the completion of a relevant qualification, such as the CFA.

The Practice:

Corporates: In Corporates, the largest practice covering 1,200 issuers only in EMEA, you will see companies from different sectors, ranging from consumer products to niche producers of unique machinery. You will analyze all aspects of the companies' business to understand key business risks, as well as create cash flow projections to understand key financial risks. You will meet the management of the companies you follow and investors from international banks and asset management firms interested in the results of YOUR analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct credit and recovery analysis for various services provided to corporate, institutional, and governmental clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Evaluate the creditworthiness of organizations, focusing on their ability to meet financial obligations for traditional credit-based products and structured banking transactions.
  3. Support teams in assessing collateral pools, credit risk, and legal considerations, ensuring a thorough understanding of securitization issuers' capabilities.
  4. Provide timely and precise quarterly financial statistics and data analysis, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  5. Assist in reporting, research, and presentation development, leveraging analytical skills to support research and analysis.
  6. Collaborate with the team on execution improvements and ad-hoc writing projects, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

We hire for our CREDit program as a cohort, and while initial practice allocations are granted, the cohort nature of the program means that analysts will transition between the practices based on business need during and post-program.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Completion of a minimum undergraduate degree by August 2025, with a strong academic record.
  2. Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  3. A proactive mindset and adaptability, essential for thriving in a dynamic environment influenced by advancements in artificial intelligence and technology.
  4. Intellectual curiosity, with a keen interest in learning and applying new knowledge in credit analysis.
  5. Ability to conduct independent analysis and research, showing initiative and resourcefulness.
  6. Strong relationship-building skills, emphasizing collaboration and effective communication with team members.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  9. Fluency in English and the primary language of the hiring location.

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, R, VBA, and/or MATLAB.
  2. Familiarity with AI technologies or tools, including Machine Learning Algorithms, Natural Language Processing Tools, and/or Robotic Process Automation.
