Responsibilities (Text Only)We are looking for a software engineer with a track record of delivering distributed cloud services and passion for solving hard problems. • Build, evolve and co-own a hyper-scale distributed service.
• Participate in all stages of service lifecycle.
• Dive deep into global-scale service issues and drive improvements to resiliency, latency, and product reliability.
• Champion automation effort for regions buildout.
• Champion improvements in the quality and stability of service fundamentals and promote engineering best practices.
• Demonstrate strong customer empathy, curiosity and willingness to question and learn, and participation in live site on-call rotation.Qualifications (Text Only)Required:
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, using one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript
• Ability to work as part of geo-distributed group. Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Math or relevant engineering fieldNice-To-Have (Not Required)
• Experience in running a highly distributed system in cloud. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
