Overview

We are looking for an Environmental and Sustainability (ES) professional to join our ES team. The successful candidate will implement the Construction Environmental and Sustainability programs across our Construction Projects within the PM Group network. This role is based at our Cork Business Unit and will involve time in the office as well as placements on our construction sites.

This role requires an expertise and belief system that will inspire our construction project teams and enable our construction sites to become Best in Class from an environmental and sustainability perspective.

Responsibilities
  • Implement Construction ES programs across our Construction Projects.
  • Support the drive for decarbonisation, low energy, renewable techniques, and sustainable alternative fuels for our Construction Stage of Projects.
  • Ensure environmental and sustainability legislative requirements are implemented across our Construction Stage of Projects.
  • Implement Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and low carbon building materials across our Construction Projects.
  • Implement systems and procedures for the Construction elements of LEED, BREEAM, etc.
  • Implement Construction Environmental Management and Construction Waste Management Plans.
  • Implement Audit and Compliance programs for our Construction delivery including noise, dust, water, light, incident investigations, planning conditions implementation/adherence, etc.
  • Capture baseline ES data on Construction Projects for KPI development.
  • Ensure Construction ES programs are kept up to date with new revisions to accreditation programs, industry guidelines, etc.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in environmental/sustainability/energy consultant or related position.
  • Professional Qualification in Architecture/Engineering/Environmental/Sustainability/Construction or related subject.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and international experience desirable.
  • Qualifications in LEED AP BD&C / ID+C and/or BREEAM AP would be beneficial.
  • Experience on Construction sites would be beneficial.
  • Capability in Construction ES Program implementation including relevant software and/or digital applications.
  • Excellent knowledge and strong understanding of ES statutory requirements.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
