Legal Consultant- Senior Compliance Consultant

Johnson Hana is Ireland's leading alternative legal solutions provider. We provide expert legal professionals powered by tech and project management to liberate busy in-house functions. We offer outsourced legal solutions to a range of domestic and international clients, including global technology companies, government bodies, and pillar banks.

Johnson Hana is seeking to hire a Compliance Specialist to join our community. We have an upcoming project with a large financial institution, lasting from 6 to 12 months, with potential for extension.

Project Responsibilities:
  1. Support and lead the implementation of regulatory change projects in line with Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) expectations.
  2. Support Conduct of Business Regulations, including: Consumer Protection Code (CPC), SME Lending Regulations, Insurance Requirements Regulations, and the conduct side of MiFID.
  3. Provide expertise on conduct risk, including framework development, assessments, and policy enhancements.
  4. Liaise with internal stakeholders and act as a contact point with the CBI.
  5. Contribute to the development and maintenance of compliance management systems and controls.
  6. Ensure data and document security and confidentiality.
  7. Communicate with clients to understand project needs and provide solutions.
  8. Maintain professionalism and competence when dealing with clients and working on the project.
Key Skills & Experience:
  1. Law Degree or relevant qualification.
  2. Experience in compliance, conduct risk, or regulatory advisory within financial services.
  3. Strong knowledge of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks, especially consumer-focused regulation.
  4. Ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
  5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
