Business Analyst - Energy, Power Solutions Team

DESCRIPTION

The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team is seeking talented individuals to facilitate high-impact carbon-free energy initiatives across AWS's global footprint. The candidates will help AWS manage technical analyses and strategic programs that underpin Amazon's decarbonization goals. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to progress initiatives that re-shape our business's operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skillsets with a passion for producing high-quality work. This position involves direct contact with experienced energy leaders, cross-functional program managers, senior leaders, and business partners. A successful candidate will have some knowledge of energy markets, renewable energy assets, and decarbonization frameworks. Strong communication skills are a must.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Manage Power Solution and Carbon Free focused workstreams within AWS's global decarbonization programs.
  2. Develop new analytics and visualizations that increase stakeholder engagement.
  3. Collaborate with internal design teams to build tools that facilitate the seamless capture of project relevant data.
  4. Regularly write/present synthesized information to key partners and stakeholders to ensure informed decisions are made at an entrepreneurial speed of business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with financial or business analysis
  2. Experience writing complex Excel VBA macros
  3. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  4. Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  5. Experience with SQL or ETL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience working with Tableau
  2. Experience using very large datasets
