About the Role

As Production Manager – Dairy Taste, you will lead operations at our Carbery Dairy Taste plant in Ballineen, ensuring high-quality ingredients are manufactured to meet customer expectations. Your mission: driving operational excellence, ensuring "right first time" production, and optimizing service levels with a strong business partnering mindset. You will foster leadership, learning, and development among your team of production and hygiene operators across our Ireland and UK plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee department operations, ensuring output, quality, and profitability goals are met.
  • Maintain and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), driving accountability and problem-solving.
  • Ensure customer specifications and commercial targets are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and mentor team members for future leadership and technical roles.
  • Uphold compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support long-term business strategy and success.

Essential Requirements

  • Food-based qualification with 5+ years in production/process management.
  • Strong food-based production knowledge with a proven track record in quality and health & safety.
  • Experience in managing, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Skilled in assessing operational needs and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and coordination across departments and locations.
  • Focused on efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with moving deadlines and evolving priorities.
