Job Description:

The EH&S Manager will be responsible for ensuring ABEC's operations comply with all applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations worldwide. The role involves maintaining awareness of current regulations, developing SOPs and Work Instructions, training employees, and conducting audits and inspections. The EH&S Manager will collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, and HR teams to ensure compliance and safety across all facilities. Key responsibilities include developing policies, managing safety training, conducting risk assessments, overseeing incident investigations, reporting EH&S data, and promoting a safety culture. The role requires travel and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safety support and information to employees.
  • Identify safety training needs and coordinate programs.
  • Assist in hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Develop and update Job Safety Analyses/Risk Assessments.
  • Perform safety audits and support emergency procedures.
  • Assist in PPE selection and promote safety awareness.
  • Chair Safety Committee meetings and communicate best practices.
  • Conduct emergency response drills and safety training.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations through policy development and workplace inspections.
  • Review incident reports and participate in investigations.
  • Coordinate with HR on workers' compensation and return-to-work issues.
  • Maintain safety records and report data to corporate offices.
  • Monitor safety goals and ensure understanding of EH&S requirements.
  • Conduct quarterly waste-water and chemical audits.
  • Enforce safety culture and accountability.
  • Travel as required and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years' management experience in EH&S, with multi-site responsibility preferred.
  • Level 7 degree in workplace safety, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • Practical knowledge of HSA (Ireland) & OSHA (USA) regulations.
  • Experience with HSA compliance and applying engineering controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to obtain CIF safety supervisor certification.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
