EPS Group has exciting opportunities for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Operations team as a Process Environmental Scientist. The positions are based in the Limerick/Clare area.

The role requires a flexible, self-motivated person who manages their time well and possesses good communication skills and command of the English language. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company and with clients is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Travel to various Water and Wastewater treatment plants throughout the Limerick/Clare area to carry out operational duties.
  2. Work independently and occasionally alongside Senior Process Specialists.
  3. Conduct inspections, sampling, and analysis of Drinking Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Processes.
  4. Resolve process issues on-site through problem-solving.
  5. Establish and monitor improvement and efficiency measures on-site.
  6. Attend role-specific training as required.
  7. Operate Drinking Water/Wastewater treatment plants as necessary.
  8. Liaise with personnel and teams, including mechanical, process, and on-site operators/supervisors.
  9. Perform calibrations of laboratory and monitoring equipment.
  10. Monitor SCADA control systems.
Key Competencies and Skills:
  1. Laboratory analysis skills.
  2. Proficiency in PC skills such as Excel and Word.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Environmental Science or a relevant science/engineering field. Further training will be provided.
