Galmere Fresh Foods is seeking a motivated Sales & Marketing Assistant who is looking for a new challenge with a successful business. We are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic and lives on the social feeds. The role will be based at our production facility in Galway. It's an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their career in an ambitious and growing company, with an immediate start available.

At Galmere, we are a successful and ambitious food business, dedicated to producing top quality, great tasting Irish food with a strong focus on sustainability. We make a wide range of fresh food for major retailers in Ireland as well as having our own, growing portfolio of brands. Galmere has recently achieved great success in the Blas na hEireann and Great Taste food awards across our private label and own brands; The Galway Kitchen, Pestle + Mortar, Soop and Just Food.

The Role:

As the Sales & Marketing Assistant, you will provide support across sales and marketing activity for the business, our own brands and where necessary, private label brands. Your responsibilities will include executing online and offline marketing strategies and as a Sales Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in helping to drive the company's growth within the Galway region and beyond. You will provide support in the management of existing client relationships and business prospecting. The ideal candidate is highly motivated with a passion for the food industry, a knack for relationship-building, and a strategic mindset to exceed sales & marketing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales and marketing team in achieving objectives.
  • Implement the sales and marketing plans, including social media management.
  • Curate and coordinate engaging content for marketing materials, social and digital channels, blog posts and email marketing.
  • Prepare and report on marketing & sales activities.
  • Ensure regular monitoring and updates of websites and other channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
  • Local key account management.

Ideal Attributes:

  • Qualification in marketing, communications or related field is preferred.
  • Keen interest in social media, content creation and passion for food.
  • Previous experience in FMCG sector.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing analytics tools.
  • Positive, outgoing, and collaborative personality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Head Office, Ballybrit, Galway.
