Job Description:

Our client, an established Hospital in Cork, wishes to recruit a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door of a reputable hospital in Cork.

The role will involve working in collaboration with the Senior Nursing team to provide leadership and support to the nursing in all clinical services in delivering evidenced based nursing care to all patients.

  1. Deputise for the Director of Nursing/ADON in their absence
  2. Provide visible and accessible leadership creating a climate where individuals understand their responsibilities and are empowered to be effective in their individual roles.
  3. Promote and influence a shared sense of commitment and participation among staff in maintaining and developing the hospital's Nursing Strategy.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Registered general nurse
  2. Be on the live register with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
  3. Management qualification essential with proven track record in the acute care setting.
  4. Demonstrable commitment to patient safety and quality
  5. Minimum of 5 years post registration clinical experience
  6. Minimum 5 years experience in a people management role
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  8. Proven leadership and change management skills
  9. Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills
  10. Ability to make decisions with excellent organisational skills
  11. Commercial awareness focused on efficiency and effective results
  12. Self-motivated with commitment towards ongoing professional development
  13. Able to multi-task
  14. Approachable
