Salary: EUR65000 - EUR70000 per annum

A global pharmaceutical organisation with a significant footprint in Ireland is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for their flagship manufacturing site in Wicklow. This is one of several operations the business runs here and is in a phase of expansion. This role has become available due to an internal restructuring and sits within the site projects team.

The Position

As a key member of the site maintenance team, you will report to the Utilities & Sustainability Lead and be responsible for the site's electrical systems.

  1. Champion and lead the ongoing compliance and adherence to all electrical work.
  2. Review Capital Project Appropriation submission requests for all electrical work associated with new projects.
  3. Oversight and maintenance of the site's Electrical infrastructure.
  4. Implement and maintain the site's Electrical standards.
  5. Ownership of Electrical drawings and records.

The Person

  1. A degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
  2. At least 5 years experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment plus exposure to Electrical installations within an ATEX environment.
  3. Experienced in similar roles within the Pharmaceutical/Chemical industry, the candidate will have a proven track record of consistent high performance and delivery in a complex, global, and matrixed environment.
  4. Deep understanding of GMP and the Quality standards required in the API Manufacturing sector.
  5. Understanding of ATEX and Machinery Directives and statutory requirements.
