Job Title: Indirect Tax - Senior Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager - Indirect Tax to join our dynamic and market-leading tax team in Dublin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, providing expert advice on VAT, customs, and other indirect tax matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing client relationships, leading projects, and driving business growth within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality indirect tax advisory and compliance services.
  2. Provide technical expertise on VAT, customs, and other indirect tax issues, ensuring compliance with Irish and EU regulations.
  3. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on indirect tax matters.
  4. Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand the firm's indirect tax services.
  5. Manage and mentor a team of indirect tax professionals, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  6. Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on clients.
  7. Work closely with other departments to deliver integrated tax solutions to clients.
  8. Represent the firm in external industry forums and maintain a strong professional network.

Key Requirements:

  1. ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  2. At least 5+ years of relevant indirect tax experience, ideally gained in a professional services firm or in-house tax role.
  3. Strong knowledge of Irish and VAT legislation, with experience in customs duties and other indirect taxes being an advantage.
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  6. Strong business development acumen with a track record of winning and growing client accounts.
  7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly to clients.
  8. High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking.
