Eutopia Search is proud to be working with a recently acquired business as part of a larger group to appoint a Head of Finance in a permanent role based in Dublin.

This is a hands-on leadership position, reporting directly to the Finance Director. You'll play a key role in reviewing and improving financial processes, strengthening internal controls, and helping to elevate the finance function to best-in-class standards.

This role offers the best of both worlds – the autonomy to run finance within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, combined with the backing and resources of a larger corporate group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enhance internal control frameworks, fixing gaps in compliance, reconciliations, and approval workflows
  • Streamline the month-end close (target: within 9 working days) and deliver timely, accurate reporting
  • Drive process improvements across AP, AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
  • Review and optimise finance systems and workflows (Sage or CAFM experience advantageous)
  • Document and enforce scalable SOPs and finance processes
  • Lead on the "current state vs best practice" analysis, with a clear roadmap for improvement
  • Support, coach, and help structure the finance team to enable growth
  • Collaborate closely with operations to align finance with procurement, inventory, and cost tracking
  • Present financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders and operational teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong technical background, audit trained would be an advantage but not essential
  • A strong track record in a similar Financial Controller or Head of Finance role
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments where you need to be both strategic and hands-on
  • Proven experience in improving finance processes, driving automation, and leading teams
  • Commercially aware, pragmatic, and confident engaging across all levels of the business
