The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for an associate to join our leading international firm and specifically our award-winning Financial Accounting and Outsourcing Services Division. Our Financial Accounting and Outsourcing team work to support our clients to better run their finance functions, understand their financial position and performance, and to ensure they are compliant with changing accounting and tax legislation. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, assisting with all aspects of their accounting lifecycle. This ambitious individual will have the opportunity to continue/complete ACA/ACCA exams while receiving full financial and exam support from Forvis Mazars.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

1. Maintenance of financial information for a broad range of international clients using various accounting software packages including Xero and Sage 50.
2. Preparation of monthly accounting reporting packs including bank reconciliations, creditors reconciliations, VAT reconciliations and debtors' statements.
3. Creating and updating financial statements using accounts production software.
4. Preparation of statutory financial statements.
5. Preparation and filing of VAT, VIES and Intrastat returns.
6. Interim secondments to clients across a range of industries.
7. Liaising with various external stakeholders providing support as required including external auditors as part of the year end audit process.
8. Building strong relationships with client representatives.
9. Promoting financial accounting and outsourcing services both internally and externally.

Qualifications
You're a business and/or accounting student or graduate. Previous intern or graduate work experience in a professional services or industry environment is desirable. An ambitious individual with a desire to become a professionally qualified Accountant. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with a willingness to learn new systems. Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage multiple engagements. Excellent time management skills with an ability to work effectively to deadlines. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A self-motivated individual with an ability to work on their own initiative with an awareness for when to seek assistance and work collaboratively. Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills, both written and verbal. Energy, enthusiasm and passion for a new challenge. Ability to learn quickly with an interest in legislative developments including local GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
