About The Role
Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking a Graduate Process Remediation Engineer to join our expanding Process Remediation Team within the Environmental Consulting & Remediation Division, based in Newmarket.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain vital experience within the environmental industry and develop hands-on technical and project management skills within our team for In-Situ Remediation and contaminated land site investigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Remediation system monitoring and optimisation
- Contaminated land site investigation and monitoring
- Collection of soil and groundwater samples/data during assessment and remedial activities at sites throughout the UK
- Management of subcontractors during assessment and remedial activities at contaminated sites
- Support the design and installation of in-situ and ex-situ remedial systems and technologies, including soil and groundwater treatment methods
- Collaborate with senior engineers and environmental scientists on project tasks
- Travel throughout the UK for site work, including working away when required
Essential Requirements
- BSc or BEng in Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or a related subject
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with close attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn hands-on practical skills required to design and implement remediation technologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following precise protocols
- Motivated, friendly and confident when interacting with clients and the public
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK, including working away when required
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
We seek professional and personable individuals who possess a good knowledge foundation, excellent organisational skills, a high level of initiative, self-motivation and a willingness to learn hands-on practical skills. Relevant experience is desirable but not essential - this role offers successful applicants the chance to learn technical and project management skills in the workplace.
