Overview

Finance Department
Applications are invited for the position of Scanning Specialist in St. Vincent's Private Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for scanning and digitizing physical documents and files, ensuring that all materials are accurately and efficiently processed. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key responsibilities
  • Scan physical documents, files, and records into digital formats.
  • Work closely with the Billing and the Claims team to ensure scanned charts are filed and organized appropriately for easy access.
  • Verify accuracy of scanned documents by cross-referencing with originals, ensuring all dates are accounted for.
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
Essential Criteria
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience working with large volumes.
  • Educated to Leaving Certificate standard.
