Overview

Graduate Civil Engineer Highways and Infrastructure – Dublin (2025 starts). Join AECOM in Dublin as a Graduate Civil Engineer in the Highways, Active Travel and Infrastructure Team. You will join the Ireland Highways team, recognised as market leaders in highways, public transport and active travel, delivering high-profile projects across the island of Ireland. You will be part of a growing team in Dublin and participate in the AECOM ADVANCE graduate development programme to help build your career.

Responsibilities
  • Support a range of high-profile and meaningful projects across the transportation sector for local and national clients on the island of Ireland.
  • Contribute to projects at all stages—from early feasibility through to detailed design, construction support and contract administration.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools, and assist delivery of projects including greenways, active travel and public transport schemes, as well as major infrastructure projects (examples include Adare Bypass, A24 Ballynahinch Bypass, Carlow Southern Relief Road).

        • Civils input and coordination for multiple solar farms and windfarms and their grid connections (e.g., Wexford Hub Solar Farm)
        • Support and development of Code of Practice for various cabling civils specifications for Eirgrid
        Qualifications
        • BEng in Civil Engineering, General Engineering, with a 2:1 (or equivalent) or above
        • MEng in Civil Engineering, General Engineering, with a 2:1 (or equivalent) or above would be an advantage
        • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
        • Good report writing skills are beneficial
        • Ability to structure and prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team
        • Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative and focus
