Principal Consultant | Software Engineering, AI & CV/ML, Semiconductors & Electronics

European Tech Recruit is working closely with a leading semiconductor company based in County Cork, seeking a talented Senior Design Verification Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities as a Senior Design Verification Engineer:

  1. Apply advanced verification methodologies, including UVM and Formal Verification, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  2. Develop and maintain testbenches and verification components such as UVCs, C models, and reusable verification environments.
  3. Verify RTL of sensor algorithms to meet ASIC tapeout quality standards.
  4. Create comprehensive test plans based on design specifications and collaborate with design and systems engineers for validation.
  5. Integrate C models into the UVM framework for efficient verification.
  6. Write and maintain SystemVerilog assertions to enforce design correctness.
  7. Debug, verify, optimize, and perform bit-exact comparisons with test vectors.
  8. Support design integration into higher-level subsystems, including test planning, test vector generation, and debugging.
  9. Utilize Python automation to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
  10. Document verification activities, including test plans, results, and methodologies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in ASIC design verification, UVM-based functional verification, or related roles.
  3. Experience with gate-level simulation debugging and power extraction tools is advantageous.
  4. Strong experience in building and managing constrained-random verification environments using UVM and coverage-driven methodologies.
  5. Extensive experience with RTL simulation tools.
  6. Proficiency in UVM, SystemVerilog, and shell scripting (Perl/Python).
  7. Familiarity with C/C++ is a plus.
  8. Debugging experience.
  9. Knowledge of formal verification tools is a bonus.
  10. Familiarity with SystemC and Matlab is advantageous.
