My client, a multinational e-commerce company, is seeking to hire a Payroll Associate who is fluent in German to join their team in Galway City. This role will be fully onsite in Galway City. The successful candidate will be fluent in both German and English.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Take full ownership of completing Monthly Payroll to ensure the timely processing of payroll across several entities.
  2. Ensure payroll reporting and employee payments are accurate and compliant with company policy and local country regulations.
  3. Work within the payroll team to assist colleagues with their workload and cover periods of leave.
  4. Ensure quality and completeness of payroll data across company systems.
  5. Respond to payroll queries and resolve them in line with support SLAs.
  6. Collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a smooth and accurate monthly payroll process.
  7. Comprehend and consistently apply company policies and procedures. Understand internal accounting processes, practices, SOX, and internal controls necessary to safeguard company assets and minimize exposure.
  8. Independently research and resolve issues.

Experience:

  1. Fluent German and English language skills.
  2. Meticulous attention to detail and strong planning and forward-thinking capabilities.
  3. Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and situations before they are fully developed.
  4. An understanding of Employee Income Taxation and Statutory requirements is a strong advantage.
  5. Previous experience working with a Third-Party payroll provider is advantageous.
  6. Experience of Payroll migrations and new market expansions is advantageous.
  7. Advanced proficiency in Google Enterprise Suite tools (calendar, mail, drive, docs, sheets, slides, meet).
  8. Extremely high level of discretion pertaining to confidential information.
  9. Flexible and able to handle ad hoc issues that may arise outside of core business hours.
