A leading multinational medical device company wishes to recruit a Finance and Cost Accountant to join their team. The role is based in North County Dublin with free parking available as well as 1-2 days work from home available. For more info call Emma Skelton01 845 6302.

Salary: to €80k DOE

Benefits: Bonus, 25 days AL, Free Car Parking, Subsidised Canteen, Flexible work hours.

Total Package Value: up to €95000 incl benefits

Key Duties:

  • Prepare journal entries related to manufacturing accounting to support accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare account reconciliations to ensure proper balance sheet valuation.
  • Margin variance analysis.
  • Monitor variances to standard cost and investigate significant differences.
  • Calculate standard costing of products in SAP.
  • Finance lead on process improvement projects related to costing of materials.
  • Ensuring closing of SAP and subsequent reporting submissions to the head office.
  • Manage functions across the manufacturing site and the wider finance community.
  • Produce reports (current and forecasting reports) of income statement, and balance sheet. Providing risk assessment for top management.
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts, Regulatory and Revenue returns to a final review stage.
  • Liaising with external and internal auditors.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.

The Candidate:

  • 3-5years' previous experience in cost accounting, ideally previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to provide financial support and exceed expectations to achieve the business goals.
  • Keen interest and literacy in IT.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good initiative and can-do attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
