Job Description:

Medical Scientists - Microbiology – Acute hospital, Dublin

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with the Ireland East Hospital Group are recruiting for Medical Scientists for a number of positions in the microbiology laboratory of a large acute teaching hospital in South Dublin city.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine work to the highest standard, as determined by laboratory management.
  2. Ensure that all samples are processed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  3. Be responsible for the quality of work in the laboratory and carry out duties in accordance with hospital policy.
Benefits include:
  1. Permanent employment contract including sponsorship of a critical skills employment permit.
  2. Competitive salary between €41,000 - €59,000, depending on experience.
  3. 35 hour working week.
  4. Excellent relocation and onboarding package to the value of €4,000 towards flights and accommodation.
  5. Reimbursement of CORU recognition and registration fees.
  6. Induction and orientation program on arrival.
  7. Generous annual leave (29 / 30 days) and public holiday (10 days) entitlements per year.
  8. Further career progression opportunities within the service.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. A recognised qualification as Medical Scientist with CORU registration or eligibility for same.
  2. A minimum of 1.5 years post-graduate experience as a Medical Scientist with some experience in microbiology. Full training will be provided to build on core skills.
