With over 25 years in business, Occupli is a leading provider of health and safety, recruitment, consultancy, and environmental solutions in Ireland. Occupli has been Putting Safety to Work for over two decades.

Occupli is recruiting a Safety Advisor for our client in the Utilities industry in Co. Dublin, with travel involved to cover sites nationally and in Dublin regions.

This is an initial 12-month contract with potential extension.

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete safety and quality audits on contractors as per the agreed format and ensure items identified are documented.
  2. Proactively work with the client team and managers to ensure the required processes and procedures are in place to enable the team to operate effectively.
  3. Input into or lead investigations into contractor incidents. Provide expert advice and support on safety management.
  4. Develop and build strong business relations within internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a best practice/quality resource within own discipline or as a technical expert on functional or cross-functional teams or projects.
  5. Guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized areas. Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions/best practices.
  6. Risk Assessment and Management: Assist in conducting risk assessments and developing Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for various projects, identifying potential hazards, implementing control measures, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  7. Incident Reporting and Investigation: Support incident reporting and investigation processes.
  8. Documentation and Reporting.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Assist the safety team in identifying opportunities for improving safety performance and implementing initiatives to enhance the safety culture.
Requirements:
  • Health & Safety Degree (H&S) Level 8 at a minimum is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience working as a Safety Advisor in the construction industry.
  • PSCS, PSDP, and Traffic Management experience is an advantage.

Fuel and overnight accommodation allowance provided.
