What's the Role: Activity Facilitator

An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions. The ability to be resilient, communicate effectively, and utilize a variety of communication tools is essential.

Our dedicated staff team supports our service users to learn and develop their independence skills, which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role, and we encourage staff to use their humor, sense of fun, and creativity in supporting our service users with day-to-day life.

Where You Would Work: Navan and Drumconrath Day Service

Navan and Drumconrath Day Service provides New Directions led supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. The services are centrally located and within walking distance of local amenities. Our services offer person-centred individualized supports that encourage personal development and active participation. Each of our service users has programmes devised from their individual needs to aid them in working towards or achieving their targeted outcomes. Individual activity plans are person-centred and meaningful, with a combination of both in-scheme and community activities.

Salary Details:

*Salary based on 36 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies. A driving licence and access to a car are essential criteria for the vacancy.
