Financial and Cost Accountant - North Dublin

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare manufacturing-related journal entries to ensure financial statements are accurate and produced on time, in line with US GAAP and internal financial policies.
  2. Conduct account reconciliations to verify correct balance sheet valuations, ensuring that any potential risks are accounted for appropriately.
  3. Perform analysis on margin variances, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), production, and absorption variances.
  4. Track deviations from standard costs and investigate significant discrepancies.
  5. Take part in other monthly closing tasks within your area of responsibility.
  6. Calculate product standard costs in SAP and ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, and other necessary updates are reviewed and completed.
  7. Ensure cost accounting practices align with corporate policies by driving consistency and standardization.
  8. Act as finance lead in process improvement initiatives related to material costing.
  9. Offer financial expertise in customer pricing simulations, conducting financial analyses, and developing financial models.
  10. Ensure the timely closure of SAP and accurate reporting submissions to the head office.
  11. Serve as a business partner across manufacturing functions and collaborate with the wider finance team.
  12. Continuously strive to improve the finance department's performance.
  13. Provide comprehensive and timely income statement and balance sheet reports, along with risk assessments and management commentary.
  14. Prepare statutory accounts, regulatory filings, and revenue returns for final review.
  15. Handle transfer pricing reports and work closely with internal and external tax teams.
  16. Liaise with internal and external auditors as necessary.
  17. Contribute to strategic site activities by offering relevant input and support for key performance indicators (KPIs) and organizational decisions.
  18. Complete ad-hoc reports as required.

Role Requirements:
  1. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  2. Ability to exceed expectations in delivering financial information and support to help achieve business objectives.
  3. Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  4. Familiar with lean initiatives and capable of driving continuous improvement.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  6. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  7. Experience working in a multinational environment.
  8. SAP experience and knowledge of IFRS would be an advantage.
  9. Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Power BI, process automation, and design optimization.
