About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented RD&I Tax Accountant with strong expertise in the Irish tax system, particularly R&D tax credits, Knowledge Development Box (KDB), capital allowances, and grant incentive programs administered by Revenue, IDA Ireland, and Enterprise Ireland.

This is a strategic and collaborative role supporting financial planning, maximizing available incentives, and ensuring full compliance with tax and grant frameworks. Flexible working options are available, including part-time and remote arrangements.

Responsibilities

Incentive Strategy & Advisory

  • Identify relevant Irish tax credits, grants, and funding schemes.
  • Advise internal teams on aligning activities with incentive eligibility.
  • Act as subject matter expert on R&D tax reliefs, KDB, and innovation-focused regimes.

Financial Analysis & Forecasting

  • Model the financial impact of tax credits and funding.
  • Track and forecast claims and receipts for incentive programs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Legal, Grants, Government Affairs).
  • Liaise with Revenue, IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, and external advisors.
  • Prepare strategic briefings for senior leadership.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain audit-ready records of claims and supporting documents.
  • Monitor and interpret legislative changes and their business impact.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years in financial analysis or tax advisory, with focus on Irish tax incentives.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish R&D tax credit regime and KDB.
  • Experience with grant processes and agencies like IDA Ireland or Enterprise Ireland.
  • Understanding of intellectual property regulations in Ireland.

  • Able to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
