Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all residents.
  • Work efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach patient care.
  • Assist residents with all personal care required, including bathing in bed, bathroom, or chair, ensuring essential aspects of personal hygiene are maintained.
  • Observe and monitor residents' well-being, promptly reporting any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff and documenting appropriately.
  • Be aware of local child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures, including contact points within the local authority.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using correctly any specialised equipment provided.
  • Participate in ward meetings.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and maintain ward cleanliness.
  • Maintain and develop good professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, with 1:1 support if required.
  • Complete and obtain at least 60% in Level 2 of The Deprivation of Liberty module.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.
