The Mercantile Group is one of Ireland's leading hospitality and entertainment groups. With over seven unique venues in Dublin City Centre, including Café en Seine, Opium, Pichet, NoLita, Whelan's, and The George, we offer exciting opportunities for progression within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We are now looking for a Bar Supervisor to join the team at Opium. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for cocktails, great service, and team leadership.

Key Requirements
  • Strong cocktail knowledge is essential.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Ability to show initiative, lead by example, and train/supervise team members.
  • Comfortable dealing with customers in a confident, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not essential; we are happy to train the right candidate.
  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and late nights.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and licensing laws is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily bar operations and support the team during service.
  • Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in cocktail preparation and bar service.
  • Train and mentor bar staff, helping to develop skills and maintain team morale.
  • Handle customer interactions and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Work closely with management to ensure smooth running of shifts.
