Commercial Manager North Dublin

A leading Civils contractor is recruiting for a Commercial Manager able to take ownership over the preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation, and commercial risk assessments for a major long-term project in the North Dublin area.

In your capacity as Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the development of collaborative stakeholder relationships in support of successful account delivery, aiding change and conflict management to ensure operational demands of the projects are delivered.

Role/Responsibilities

  • Management of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Measure, price, negotiate, and agree budgets and costs for variations to project scope.
  • Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
  • Produce and maintain up-to-date procurement schedules.
  • Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyze subcontractor quotations, and make recommendations for placement of orders.
  • Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments.
  • Carry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance.
  • Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the site.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management experience.
  • Comprehensive experience working within the Civils Sector, ideally with NEC contracts.
  • Proven commercial and contractual acumen.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with clear communications.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
