Essential qualifications and requirements- Diploma in Applied/Social Care awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) (formerly HETAC/DIT) or an approved equivalent qualification. (Level 8 is desirable; applicants with Level 7 degree and relevant experience will be considered.)
- Up-to-date CORU registration / Confirmation of application for registration submitted to CORU
- Recognised management qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent
- Full clean Irish Manual driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles when necessary
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in Health Care, supporting residents with behaviours of concern
- Holistic, person-centred approach to support people to live their best lives; awareness of New Directions
- Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies in identified areas of interest and learning
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Role of Person in Charge, Health Act 2007 (Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centre for Persons with Disabilities)
