Site Manager role at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business, based in Dublin. The sites you will manage can be anywhere in Ireland. You will lead on-site activities of projects to ensure cost-effective execution of deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning and maintenance phases.

Responsibilities- Plan on-site activities with the Project Manager, including resources, equipment and milestones. Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy.
- Own the site from receiving the assigned area to handover on completion, coordinating all on-site activities to ensure successful start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
- Represent the project on site and maintain effective relationships with customers and local stakeholders.
- Ensure correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and materials; report receipts promptly to project logistics.
- Ensure RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) are in place for each work package and compliant with the project health and safety plan.
- Ensure on-site resources are properly trained and promote health and safety to project partners throughout the project.
- Control project costs on site, monitor spend against forecasts, and estimate final costs for the site work.
- Maintain and update documentation in the handling system for construction work on site.
- Manage on-site sub-contractors to ensure quality and progress meet delivery dates and standards.
- Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on site activities, HSE, quality, progress, and cost.
- Proven experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
- Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
- Experience working within high-profile, regulated environments.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent skills.
- 5+ years' experience as Site Manager in construction and/or installation business.
- Good understanding of transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.
- Proven leadership with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
