Our client, a leading global reinsurance company, is seeking a Pricing Actuary with experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) sector to join its dynamic team. This permanent, full-time position offers a hybrid working model, based in Dublin.

About the Role:

In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Manager P&C Pricing and Analytics, Senior Underwriter P&C Retro, and the broader P&C team to evaluate and manage prospective transactions. This includes contributing to the pricing and structuring discussions for both traditional property catastrophe retrocession and expanding structured reinsurance lines. You will gain invaluable exposure to some of the largest global P&C insurance and reinsurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Pricing & Analysis: Oversee the pricing and analysis of individual transactions from start to finish, regularly presenting findings to senior management.
  • Client & Market Relationship Development: Foster new business opportunities across the London, Continental European, and Bermudian Reinsurance markets.
  • Experience Analyses: Conduct experience reviews to assess the profitability of ongoing client relationships.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with teams across Risk, Actuarial, Finance, and others to support the overall goals of the P&C team.
  • Market and Model Updates: Stay up to date with developments in market trends and modeling techniques, sharing updates with the team.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Lead projects that improve underwriting efficiency and the monitoring of individual deals and the broader portfolio.

This role is ideal for a nearly or newly qualified Actuary with at least 5 years of experience in reinsurance and P&C pricing methods, preferably with some knowledge of Property & Catastrophe pricing. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • A commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
