Communicare is looking for an empathetic, patient and dependable Social Care Assistant who has a genuine passion for helping people and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

We provide individualised and person-centred residential disability services. The goal of our disabilities team is to maximise the independence of our clients while supporting their physical, emotional and social needs.

Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Support our clients in daily tasks such as personal care, light housekeeping, food preparation.
  • Provide companionship and support with social activities.
  • Work to promote the health and well-being of clients.

Role requirements:
  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Social Care or Healthcare
  • Two written references.
  • Understanding of HIQA standards and regulations.
  • CPR & Patient Moving and Handling Certificates
  • Full driving license and access to a car is a distinct advantage but not essential.
