Role

Are you eager to make a significant impact in the cybersecurity field? We are seeking a Identity Governance and Identity Operations Technical Lead to infuse our team with innovative ideas and daring solutions. In this position, you will play a crucial role in delivering how our organization ensures secure, appropriate, and timely access to enterprise resources, while supporting the capabilities that help us achieve and sustain our Identity and Access Management strategy.

On-call and work pattern

• Participation in a structured on-call rotation covering weekends and country holidays to support a follow-the-sun model across Kuala Lumpur, Cork and the U.S. IAM teams.
• On-call coverage is required from Friday 7pm – Sunday 7pm local time with responsibilities focused on resolving priority IAM requests.
• On-call responsibilities are designed to support critical operations and ensure timely resolution of issues outside standard working hours for 24/7 operational resilience.

Responsibilities and impact

• Provide technical leadership and act as escalation point for the Identity Governance and IAM team.
• Recruit, hire and develop high-performing identity operations engineers.
• Provide coaching, career development, performance management and professional growth opportunities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational discipline.
• Cultivate a diverse and inclusive team with different perspectives and backgrounds.
• Keep abreast of IAM technologies, security threats, and regulatory changes.
• Drive adoption of innovative solutions to address complex, global IAM problems.

Operational Excellence and leadership

• Serve as technical lead and escalation point for team members.
• Provide technical leadership for escalation, incident management, change management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement to support 24/7 services.
• Monitor IAM identity governance systems performance and health for optimal operation; perform regular maintenance.
• Respond to alerts and incidents, troubleshoot, and restore services promptly.
• Maintain all IAM components; ensure systems are up-to-date with patches and security updates.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce downtime.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports; provide regular status updates.
• Collaborate with IT teams, developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and effective communication of changes.
• Assess capacity and plan for future growth; allocate resources efficiently.
• Provide technical support to users on Identity services and respond to audit/compliance requests related to Identity services.
• Develop and implement solutions; ensure testing and validation prior to deployment.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and adopt best practices in problem management.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in supporting, delivering and securing Identity and Access Management services.
• 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management with expertise in identity provisioning, access management, governance and administration.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Identity Manager, Entra ID, and SailPoint IIQ.

Additional preferences

• Experience with IT service management (ITIL).
• Effective collaboration with technical counterparts, leaders and stakeholders to deliver and support IAM solutions.
• Ability to work with a distributed and virtual team.
• Critical thinking, analytical skills, and thought leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
• An understanding of cloud-based architecture with AWS and/or Azure, and awareness of cloud security controls.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
