Job Description:

This role involves managing and resolving challenging issues related to instance performance, reliability, and availability for the ServiceNow SRE team. It requires strong troubleshooting and technical skills. The position is night shift (4 days a week) and based anywhere within Ireland.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of IT operations experience
  • Experience integrating AI into work processes
  • Knowledge of ITIL-driven IT Operations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in demanding environments
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
Technical Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
  • Networking skills including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS
  • Relational database understanding (MySQL, Postgres)
  • Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Shell
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
Preferred Skills:
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Web application components
  • Performance diagnostics
  • Experience with large-scale systems monitoring
  • Tools like Splunk, Gitlab
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure)
