Benson & Associates client is seeking to recruit a Corporate/Commercial Solicitor. A long-established and highly respected Dublin-based legal practice providing the full suite of commercial advice to companies, business owners, shareholders and employees.

Supported by a team of young, dynamic lawyers, the firm remains agile and responsive and continues to develop its international practice forged with law firms overseas.

As an integral part of the firm's strategy for growth, Benson & Associates client is seeking to appoint a Senior Solicitor to play a key role in driving the Corporate/Commercial Law department forward.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years' post qualification experience in the Republic of Ireland with significant expertise in most areas of Corporate and Commercial law, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring and Shareholder Agreements.

More senior candidates with the prerequisite experience may also be considered alongside the possibility of a part-time/hybrid arrangement. Practitioners from other jurisdictions may also be considered dependent upon experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. The Corporate/Commercial team is led by a senior partner supported by two junior solicitors and a senior company secretarial manager.
  2. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate both the competence and confidence to work autonomously subject to "light touch" partner oversight.
  3. The ability to work closely with all firm colleagues is essential together with a willingness to supervise junior members of the team.
  4. From time to time, the candidate may be asked to assist with non-fee earning tasks on an administrative level.
  5. An interest in actively marketing the firm's services to potential clients is desirable but not essential. It is expected however that the candidate will be alive to business development opportunities as and when they present themselves.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess the Following Attributes:

  2. A problem solving approach.
  3. A collaborative team player with a superior work ethic.
Salary & Benefits:
  1. Minimum of €85k p.a. depending upon experience. The remuneration of more senior candidates can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
  2. Pension: Matching Employer/Employee Contributions at 5%.
  3. Bonus: 10% Bonus payable on fees billed in the financial year.
  4. Holidays: 25 days p.a. upon commencement plus 1 extra day for every 2 years' service to a maximum of 30 days p.a.
