IPS is hiring We are looking for a talented Senior Construction Engineer to join our industry-leading team located in Cork, Ireland.
The Senior Construction Engineer provides technical, managerial, administrative, and managerial support to Project Managers and Project Executives.
Responsibilities- Supports the Project Manager in the delivery of individual projects, focusing on quality objectives.
- Ensures achievement of safety objectives on assigned projects.
- Coordinates resources to achieve project goals.
- Interacts with clients on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
- Handles special projects as assigned.
- Develops working knowledge of prime contract requirements and applies this knowledge to project activities.
- Supports the Project Manager in developing and maintaining preconstruction, construction, and closeout plans. Coordinates review and approval from Project Executive and/or Director of Operations, and communicates this information to the project team.
- Supports the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project scopes of work and communicates this to the project team.
- Supports the development and maintenance of project schedules, including activities, durations, and sequencing, and communicates this to the team.
- Develops understanding of the project budget, identifies deviations, and supports monitoring and reporting of project costs.
- Supports change control documentation and financial documentation, protecting corporate interests.
- Assists the Financial group in preparing invoices to clients.
- Ensures quality standards in design and construction and supports quality assurance.
- Coordinates safety resources to monitor site safety and address nonconformances.
- Monitors design content and quality, coordinating revisions for constructability and compliance.
- Supports procurement and coordination of project resources, including vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepares subcontract, purchase order, and change control documentation.
- Evaluates vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Facilitates communication among project participants and documents these communications.
- Works with Document Control to ensure proper distribution, review, and storage of project documents.
- Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assists in preparing proposals, presentations, and marketing documents.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent technical degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Delivery.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
