Overview

Customer Delivery Driver - Liffey Valley (30-35h)

Join Tesco Ireland as a Customer Delivery Driver. You are the first face our customers see, delivering a helpful and friendly service to shoppers while working with a team of managers and colleagues back at base for support.

Shift Pattern: Various shifts available

Responsibilities
  • Providing an excellent home shopping experience by placing customers at the heart of everything we do.
  • Loading the van where required, and checking the van for roadworthiness.
  • Understanding the schedule and route that has been calculated for you.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance in uniform and ready to help customers.
  • Driving safely, responsibly and within the law; courteous to all road users.
  • Serving customers with a smile and greeting them by name.
  • Taking care of customers' deliveries as if they were your own.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • To have had a full IRISH or EU driving licence (manual or automatic) for at least 2 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • To be a safe and courteous driver, with a desire to help others.
  • To be personable with a good sense of humour and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and use common sense; stay calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to provide proof of penalty points and participate in Garda Vetting as part of the recruitment process.
Important notes

Disqualification from driving within the last 10 years will disqualify an applicant.

Offer is conditional upon providing bank account details before the start date.
