Morgan McKinley is supporting and leading Irish business in sourcing a Head of Operational Finance to hold a pivotal role within the overall finance function.

The Head of Operational Finance will take full responsibility for the financial management of the group's operational activities across a number of key areas. The position will also drive continuous improvement and change across finance with a particular focus on providing financial support for the management of key business areas and capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on all operational accounting matters, directing and overseeing all aspects of the Finance and Accounting operational functions of the Group.
  • Ensure healthy financial management by leading a strong team to enable delivery of the Group's ambitious strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with group regulation to ensure all regulatory protocols are embedded within the approach to financial control operations.
  • Work in partnership with the Group Financial Controller to ensure alignment across areas of responsibility.
  • Management of core accounting activities, including taxation requirements and production of financial information.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger activities.
  • Ensure high standards of financial control and reporting for Capital and Projects.
  • Manage the external financial relationship, project costs, settlement of capital contributions, and financial forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience of leading finance teams in changing circumstances is essential.
  • Senior qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), preferably with experience of operational accounting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Operate to the highest standards of personal integrity, driving a culture of professionalism and cost awareness.
  • Developed stakeholder management and executive engagement.
