Sr. Analyst

Position Summary

The Sr. Analyst - Underwriting will provide sophisticated analytical support to Associates and Vice Presidents on complex aircraft investment opportunities and underwriting activities. This role requires strong investment analysis capabilities and the ability to support multiple high-value transactions while developing expertise in aviation finance and investment decision-making under the guidance of Associate and VP professionals.

Job Functions

• Investment Analysis Support: Support Associates and VPs in comprehensive investment analysis for large-scale aircraft transactions including financial modeling, risk assessment, and market research across diverse transaction structures
• Corporate Credit Analysis: Conduct detailed credit assessments of airline counterparties including financial statement analysis, covenant modeling, and competitive positioning analysis under Associate guidance
• Financial Modeling Excellence: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for aircraft investments including cash flow projections, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modeling
• Due Diligence Execution: Execute comprehensive due diligence processes including technical, legal, and commercial analysis while coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders
• Research & Market Intelligence: Conduct detailed market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessment to support investment decision-making
• Documentation Support: Assist in preparation of investment memorandums, presentations, and analytical materials for investment committee review
• Transaction Coordination: Support complex transaction execution including deal coordination, stakeholder communication, and project management
• Risk Analysis: Evaluate various risk factors including credit risk, residual value risk, and operational risks across different aircraft types and markets
• Portfolio Monitoring: Support monitoring of existing investments and assist in value-creation strategy development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2-4 years of progressive experience at leading investment banks, commercial banks, credit firms, consulting firms, or advisory practices with demonstrated passion for investing and strong analytical capabilities
• Investment Analysis Support: Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and investment research with ability to support complex transaction execution
• Corporate Credit Skills: Experience in corporate credit analysis, including financial statement analysis and covenant structures, developed through banking or credit-focused roles
• Advanced Excel/modeling/forecasting/AI skills essential, with proficiency in advanced financial modeling techniques
• Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to synthesize complex data and support investment decision-making processes
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities with experience supporting senior professionals and preparing analytical materials
• COLLABORATIVE approach with proven ability to support multiple complex projects while working effectively under Associate guidance
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work across disciplines with TRANSPARENCY and INTEGRITY in all investment activities
• RELENTLESSLY PROBLEM-SOLVING approach with intellectual curiosity and eagerness to develop expertise in aviation finance
• NIMBLE and adaptable to rapidly changing market conditions with ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
• Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to travel internationally and work in fast-paced, high-pressure investment environment
• Experience with legal documentation and transaction support preferred
• Course work in finance, economics, or related quantitative field required
• CFA candidate or progress toward charter preferred
• Aviation industry experience is a plus but not required
• Fluency in other languages helpful but not required

Compensation

• Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus
