Salary: EUR70 - EUR85 per hour

Our client is a global leader in the biotech sector who are investing heavily in their Irish presence. As one of the largest producers of therapeutics globally the business has revenues upwards of $10 billion per annum. This more recent investment involves the construction of a new state-of-the-art biologics drug substance manufacturing facility in Munster.

The business is looking to attract a very experienced Project Manager to oversee the progress of critical utilities projects. This role is pivotal to enabling the organisation to reach its ambitious timelines to operational readiness.

This is initially a 12-month contract with the option to extend thereafter.

The Role

As a key member of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, you will support the utilities infrastructure and key system onsite. Reporting into the Director of Projects you will oversight the delivery of key campaigns across this green-field program. This is a complex and challenging role requiring a skilled professional with exceptional communication and influencing skills.

You will work closely with key consultants within the business to support the delivery of this program of works from concept design through to installation, overseeing project delivery, budget management and ensuring all teams are fully resourced.

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Leading consultants onsite and overseeing vendor delivery against targeted objectives.
  2. Monitor progress and performance against key metrics.
  3. Support the resolution of cross-functional issues to reduce any impact to work schedules.
  4. Manage project costings, scope of works, scheduling and change controls as required.
  5. Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver against project milestones and key objectives.
  6. Ensure lessons learned, changes and impact of changes are captured by all project leads for the project.
  7. Manage coordination of the vendors and working groups engaged in project work.

The Person

  1. Third level degree qualified in a technical discipline.
  2. Have a minimum of 10 years' working in a GMP environment - Pharma or Biologics Drug Substance experience is preferable.
  3. Experience managing sub project teams from design stage through to operational handover.
  4. Project management certification is desirable.
  5. Be collaborative in your approach to work and an effective communicator.
  6. Engage cross functionally to deliver on key project milestones in conjunction with the Project Team.
  7. Autonomous and a self-starter.
  8. Experience working on client-side is required.
