Barden are exclusively assisting a successful Irish company to identify a Financial Accountant to join their Finance team. This role would suit a qualified financial accountant who is looking to take a step up in their career and gain broad exposure across a finance function.

This is a broad accounting position and will offer the successful candidate exposure to the full accounting process including financial reporting and FP&A activities as well as working closely alongside senior mangement.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts;
  • Maintenance of bank, revenue and balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Preparation of budget and cashflows;
  • Analyse trends and complete variance analysis;
  • Strive for continued improvement in company processes;
  • Liaise with external auditors.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified accounting professional (ACA, ACCA or equivalent);
  • Ideally Top 10 trained with circa 2 years in industry;
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team;
  • Self-starter who is motivated, innovative and ambitious;
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel.
