About the Role:

The Mill Restaurant at Cliff at Lyons is a beautifully restored fine dining destination set within the stunning surrounds of our historic estate. We are currently seeking a professional and passionate Food & Beverage Assistant to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in hospitality, particularly in fine dining environments, who takes pride in delivering exceptional service. A knowledge of wine and cocktails would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver attentive, knowledgeable, and professional service in a fine dining setting
  2. Greet guests with warmth and ensure their experience is seamless from start to finish
  3. Support the smooth operation of daily service, including setup, service, and breakdown
  4. Take orders accurately and offer informed recommendations on food, wine, and beverages
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all food and beverage areas
  6. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
  7. Proactively address and resolve guest concerns in a courteous and efficient manner
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar food and beverage or fine dining role
  2. Strong understanding of food service etiquette and guest expectations in a high-end environment
  3. Confident, well-presented, and personable, with excellent communication skills
  4. Wine knowledge and basic cocktail preparation skills are a strong advantage
  5. Ability to multitask and remain calm and composed under pressure
  6. Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  7. A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
