Your new employer is looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join their team for a high-profile commercial construction project in Dublin City Centre. As a Senior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is executed to the highest standards, and working closely with the project team to deliver a successful build. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established Irish main contractor on exciting projects in the heart of Dublin.

About Your New Job

  • Lead the site engineering team, managing and overseeing the progress of the project.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure they meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Assist the Project Manager with site management, coordination, and scheduling.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring work is carried out according to quality standards, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Oversee setting out and surveying of the site.
  • Collaborate with the design team and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure adherence to budgets and project timelines, reporting progress to senior management.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and health & safety practices on-site.
  • Prepare and review construction documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Provide technical support to the project team, managing the flow of information and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.

What Skills You Need

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in site engineering with a strong background in commercial construction projects.
  • Proven experience working with an Irish main contractor on large-scale commercial builds.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety requirements, as well as relevant industry legislation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction management software.
  • Ability to set and achieve targets under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
