Job Description
Reporting to the QEHS Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Promote a strong, proactive health and safety culture.
- Communicate safety alerts and toolbox talks to site teams and staff.
- Review method statements and risk assessments (RAMS) and provide health and safety advice to project managers/supervisors.
- Visit sites and conduct site inspections to ensure good safety compliance; complete inspection reports for project teams and follow up on completion of noncompliance items.
- Conduct health and safety inductions for new starters.
- Organise via external providers, staff safety training (safe pass, manual handling, first aid response, etc.).
- Conduct site accident investigations, writing and issuing reports.
- Assist in health and safety (Safe-T-Cert) and quality audits (ISO 9001) with external auditors.
Key Qualifications/Skills
- Degree/Diploma in health and safety.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in health and safety management, ideally in the fire protection, engineering, or construction industries.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- High level of computer literacy is essential.
- Full, clean driving license.
