Senior Software Engineer C++ (Gameplay)

Playrix is one of the most successful mobile game development companies in the world. In terms of mobile application revenue, we rank first in Europe and are in the top 3 worldwide. Our games have been installed 2.3 billion times (that's a third of the world's population) and more than 30 million people around the world play them every day.

We have big plans for the growth and development of our projects, which is why we are looking for the strongest experts to join our development teams.

That said, experience in C++ and/or game development is not at all necessary: we have an excellent adaptation system for a comfortable transition for beginners from Unity and from other industries.

In each project we have the following areas:

1. Feature: develop events and mini-games from scratch (ranging from various competitions to mini-games like Merge)

2. Technical: optimization, technical stability support, SDK (reducing loading speed, memory consumption, etc.)

3. Match-3 and meta: working with graphics and basic mechanics of the game (adding new functionality, refactoring and optimization)

This role requires relocation from Russia and Belarus to one of our offices or remote work from other countries (except Russia and Belarus).

Tasks:

1. Program game mechanics and logic
2. Design and review the architecture of features
3. Program UI and visual effects
4. Profile and optimize the game for memory and frame rate
5. Mentor junior specialists
6. Conduct code review

Our stack:

1. Languages: C++, and Lua and Python for single tasks
2. Graphics: OpenGL ES and Metal
3. Our own engine, similar to Unity or Unreal, which we are constantly developing
4. Advanced CI/CD, automated testing, code review processes and much more

Requirements:

1. 4+ years of experience in developing commercial projects in C++ and/or Unity
2. Experience in developing projects released in production
3. Architecture design experience

Preferred:

1. Confident knowledge of modern C++ 14/17 standards, as well as STL
2. Experience in game development
3. Experience working with popular game engines (Unity, Unreal, Godot, Cocos2D, Defold, etc.)
4. Experience developing for mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
5. Experience working with computer graphics
