Overview

Customer Delivery Driver Hours) - Ballinasloe role at Tesco Ireland. You will be the first face our customers see, delivering to customers with a hands-on, varied role. You'll feel like your own boss for much of the day, with a team of managers and colleagues back at base to support you when needed.

Shift Pattern: Various shifts available

Responsibilities
  • Providing an excellent home shopping experience by placing customers at the heart of everything you do.
  • Loading the van where required, and checking your van for roadworthiness.
  • Understanding the schedule and route that has been calculated for you.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance in your uniform and helping customers.
  • Driving safely, responsibly and within the law; courteous to all road users.
  • Serving customers with a smile and greeting them by name.
  • Taking care of your customers' deliveries as if they were your own.
You will need
  • To have a full Irish or EU driving licence (manual or automatic) for at least 2 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • To be a safe and courteous driver who enjoys helping others.
  • To be personable with good sense of humor and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to take initiative and use common sense.
  • To care about making a difference for customers and colleagues; able to stay calm under pressure.

Note: As part of the recruitment process, offers are subject to Garda Vetting. You will need to provide proof of current penalty points on your licence at Assessment Stage (NDLS: , press Option 4 and quote your driver number).

If you have been disqualified from driving within the last 10 years, we will not be able to accept your application.
