The Role:

We're seeking a talented and pragmatic Technology Counsel to join our EMEA Legal team on a part-time basis to cover a 12-month maternity leave. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting cutting-edge SaaS technology transactions and product development initiatives.

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)

Contract: 12-month fixed-term (maternity cover) starting September 2025

What You'll Do:

- Commercial Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS agreements across EMEA.

- Product Counsel: Advise on legal risks in the product development lifecycle, including data privacy and IP.

- Compliance & Risk: Monitor regulatory trends and ensure compliance with evolving legal requirements.

- Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to legal ops improvements—playbooks, templates, training, and more.

- Collaboration: Provide first line legal support to our EMEA Sales and Customer Success teams, although you will also share workload with the wider commercial legal team and support other regions globally where required.

What We're Looking For:

- 8–10 years of post-qualification experience within a global technology company or a commercial private practice team advising technology companies.

- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a collaborative, business-minded approach.

- Comfortable advising on AI, and privacy and security-related compliance.

- General understanding of software revenue recognition principles.

- Fluency in English.

- Qualified to practice law in Ireland or the UK.

-Prompt Engineering: Skilled at crafting clear, structured, and effective prompts to optimize the quality, relevance, and utility of AI-generated outputs.

-Agentic AI: Understands the role of autonomous agents in streamlining workflows and automating end-to-end tasks. Able to build, utilize, or manage agentic AI systems and integrate them into business processes.
